A Study on the Production Approach for the Animated Documentary RABBIT Using Generative AI
Seong-hee Cho
■ Abstract
This project explores the feasibility and scalability of documentary production using generative AI. While the use of generative AI in fiction filmmaking has gained momentum in recent years, its application in the documentary field remains significantly limited. Through this project, we aim to identify meaningful ways in which generative AI can be utilized in documentary production. Specifically, we seek to demonstrate how generative AI technology can address challenges faced in reconstructing and restoring lost footage, thereby expanding the role of AI in the domain of documentary ‘reenactment’.
